Ich habe hier ein Statement von Bryce, das ich auf seine Bitte hin auf Deutsch zusammengefasst habe (unten ist der Volltext):
Zunächst führt er aus, dass er die monierten täglichen Änderungen an der tag-Seite/Proposal nur gemacht hat, um auf Gisberts Kommentare einzugehen. Die Gründe für seinen Versuch einer Vereinheitlichung und Änderung des Tagging: 1) Um die kritische Masse zu erreichen, damit der tag gerendert wird. Hierzu hat er in den Amerikas, Australien/Neuseeland nach solchen Stellen gesucht, die anscheinend unvollständig getaggt waren (z.B. nur im Namen die Funktion beschrieben), und diese dann anschließend anhand von offiziellen Quellen (Webseiten der Features) überprüft, bevor er das Tagging verändert hat. 2) Um bessere tag-Bezeichnungen einzuführen die besser beschreiben, um was es geht, z.B. sei "Chemische Toilette" keine gute Bezeichnung, eigentlich gehe es um die Leerung von "Toilettentanks". 3) Das neue Tagging solle auch die Anschlussart / Verbindungsmöglichkeit sowie etwaige Zugangsbeschränkungen einschließen, um die Daten für unterschiedliche Nutzer besser nutzbar zu machen. Zuletzt führt er aus, dass es, obwohl vordergründig der Eindruck echter Meinungsverschiedenheiten entstehen könnte, eigentlich darum geht, gemeinsam dieselben Objekte zu mappen.
