Subject: [Talk] Forum's vs Listserv's

Greetings,

Wanted to pose a question to the group - we are evaluating putting up a forum
in the customer area of our website as potential alternative to the Talk
Listserv - the archives would be updated into the forum for - most likely using
a script:-)

But before we do anything - we'd like to know what you all think.

The advantages of a forum are that it's much easier to search, to scan through
and follow threads and you don't get the "out of office replies" when you post
on a holiday.

The biggest disadvantage in my mind is that it is not as "immediate" to post,
you have to login to a website to do it.

So what are your thoughts?

Regards,

Thom
