On the contrary. It's something that *increases* confidence in the map, as at least you know. It's being honest. There are no other maps like OSM really, which is why people have expectations that all maps are complete. At least if you tell people they know what to expect. And in any case, we mappers are currently the biggest consumer of our own maps. I think, and have thought from the beginning, that clear indications of completeness or otherwise would help everyone enormously.
