Definitely not - if the only way to counteract an undiscussed mechanical edit that goes against the community principles is to have a discussed revert we can also abolish the mechanical edit rule right away. The DWG has a mandate to revert vandalism, undiscussed imports and mechanical edits without starting an open discussion first. It is also common practice that local mappers after having tried to contact a mapper making such edits without success can revert these on their own. No one has suggested to sweepingly revert all edits adding wikidata tags independent of who made them and in what context. No one needs to fear that additions of wikidata tags made locally with support from the local community are removed. -- Christoph Hormann http://www.imagico.de/ _______________________________________________ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
