Re: real estate use case - I have seen local agents refer to neighborhoods that I put on OSM by surveying the new streets. Clients could be directed to use mapping apps to find a new neighborhood or new street that is on a city's GIS but not on other maps yet. (not sure which app they tell their clients to use)
