OK thanks Denise. What is interesting is that for a split second the screen
light is on but it is not quick enough for me to see the key. However, I
have noticed that sighted people can even read these phone screens even
without the back light. I will give that a go in any case because now that
you say that I can memorise where soft key 5 is say on the right of a text
message.

the hands free phone option or microphone is about where soft key 2 would
be. You have to tap in that area. Sometimes I can hit it pretty good and
others I have more trouble.

With regard to attempting to increase the volume of the incoming speaker,
I have tried volume up and when that did not work I tried up arrow. No
difference. I just could not put on to loudspeaker.
