I think we are on the "pick-one" stage, but unless Marty is aware that both choices are "acceptable" how can he make a "decision"? He thought it was merely an oversight of an essential action on his part. Now I know Marty understands both points of view I am happy to let him choose, I don't care if he holds a vote or not. The arguments for which you brusquely say "just drop it" haven't actually occurred, they were just your predictions.
