While PGP can be used to fully encrypt messages to conceal content,
another useful feature is clear-signed messages such as this one.
Messages that are clear-signed can be read by anyone. However, a PGP
user can verify that this message was actually written by me and the
content was not altered in any way. Of course they would need a copy of
my public key to do this, but a copy is easily obtained by clicking on
the URL below or can be obtained automatically by the pgp program itself
from one of the public keyservers.
