It offers similar functionality, but it's *not* a newsreader, wasn't
designed as a newsreader, and you're only going to be able to simulate
one using the different functions of TB. V2 of TB might include
functionality for a newsreader-- I really hope *not*, unless it's a
plugin.

Use Account | Dispatch Mail On Server

You'll need to set up a Selective Download filter, and set messages
matching TBUDL and/or TBBETA criteria to "Ignore". This will get the
rest of your mail, but then you can use dispatcher to see all the TB*
list messages still on the server.
