First I'd compress the mail database in OE as you'd do it in TB! too.
It's in 'File' / 'Folder' menu, IIRC.
Maybe this way the 3 gig lower down a little bit :-)

Second I'd wait a few day, maybe some really few weeks, for 1.54
becoming released. 1.54 is able to import OE6 message base, although I
don't have any clue how the performance is when importing 3G.
