Not trying to beat a dead horse with suggestions, but as someone else mentioned you might want to consider a decent macro program. It will help in so many ways outside of The Bat!. The neat thing is with my personal favorite- PerfectKeyboard- you can organize all kinds of lists to pop up containing your macros from just a right click of the icon in the sys tray (or of course a keyboard shortcut:). So for example, in this case you just create your e-mail replies, name them, and then assign them to a group (maybe "e-mail replies"), then with just a right click of the icon you can select "e-mail replies" and a pop up box of your selection will appear and you just double click on the one you want and the text is put in the e-mail. Piece of cake. (And of course each reply could also be assigned a keyboard shortcut so if you ever got bold and wanted to remember a few you could always use the shortcut, vs. using the popup list).
