I agree with this. The synbchronisation of databases I referred to in
another arm of this thread meant maintianing seperate addressbooks for
seperate applications.

There should be one addressbook, containing all information. A
relational database. My main addressbook is carbon-based and contains
all information, including both email address and mailing address.

However, I do not see why it should be responsibilty of an email
client to provide such a "complete" addressbook, which will contain a
lot of data not needed by it. I would think it is time for a seperate
addressbook program into which email clients, PIMs, and other
application can hook into.

If I then change the email address, for example from within the email
application, the one database is updated. Another application reading
data will get the updated data.

I would believe there is one on your PC. What is the differencer
between openig a TB calendar window and the OS' calendar in a window?

I don't think it is the job of an email client to provide a calendar,
reinvent the wheel, or cook coffee. Even though anything is possible.
