Hi, everyone,

I hate introducing myself as a newbie by introducing my ignorance
first, but that's what I'm going to have to do. I installed TB!
two days ago and, with some help from TB!er Jeanny House, have it
up and running sort of. I do have a problem though that I can't
figure out or find in FAQs or archives.

About three times in four (though not in the initial bootup after
turning on the computer), when I boot up TB!, I get a message
that says "Tasks are active; do you want to exit the program when
they're finished?" and whether I reply Y or N, it exits a few
seconds later. I can't imagine what tasks might be active.

Last night, I got this additional system message (The one with
the famous red/white X): "Access violation at address 006DEF6F in
module 'thebat.exe.' Read of address 00000034." (I think I got
the # of zeros right.)

This is proving extremely frustrating to me. Can anyone offer
advice, ideas, or at least a broad surface to whack with a rubber
hammer?

Thanks,
Anna
who knows about commas and semicolons, but not TB!s
