This has been a limitation I've lived with since I started using TB! in
1999. I never really considered it a bug since it has always been this
way and I've always offered advice with this limitation in mind. I also
have vivid memories of others describing the limitation and my having to
tell them that it's a limitation and not their doing something wrong.
What OS version are you using?
How do you set up the marking of your messages as read. Do you do it
only manually? Do you have auto-read flagging disabled?
Also, see if your read filtering works on messages that you manually
mark unread and then mark read. Perhaps it's my testing that's the
problem and this is usually how I'd try to get it working by manually
marking them read.
