Quite odd, indeed. I've been updating from version to version for a
long time and I've always just installed over the existing
installation (as the instructions suggest). My directory is the same
as it's always been:
   C:\Program Files\The Bat!\

And my messages are stored in directories under D:\BatMail\. Each
subsequent new version has found everything.
