Yes, good thinking.

Quite true. The organization of TB!'s GUI is not immediately
transparent to a beginning user.

I was uncomfortable, too.

I wanted to offer Bob my help, but I didn't have time on those
particular days. I was reading but not posting.

A beloved pet came very near to death ten days ago. A blood
transfusion in the animal hospital saved her life. Then there were the
early days of her convalescence at home. She seems to be on the mend
now. Anyway, that's why I didn't get involved in what looked as if it
would be a time-consuming effort.

Many times frustrated newbies come here to TBUDL exhibiting what looks
like a bad attitude. I had a bad attitude myself when I first showed
up here! I'm glad a few people stuck with the task of trying to
straighten me out!!

As to Bob's claim to be a computer engineer--does that necessarily
equate to computer programmer? Maybe he built hardware boxes and
someone else set up his e-mail applications for him.

Then, in his second post, he said he was home on disability. I have
some disabilities of reasoning and memory and technical vocabulary my
own self! I can relate to his needs.

But I don't expect to see him back here, given that the only advice
he received from fellow members of TBUDL was to read the Help File or
to go back to his ISP for help.

Well, I can't rescue everyone! :(

I was lucky to find a vet able to save my long-time pet companion.
