The upgrade price for the Adobe Tech Comm Suite is $999, not $99. The point made was that this is only $99 more than the $899 to purchase FM8, which may not be much of a comfort to someone who has already paid full price for FM.
My first experience with RoboHelp was during the Blue Sky days, and I never "hated" that company. I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with their tech support to get answers that should have been easy to find in the product, but they always took good care of me and we usually shared a chuckle over the "shoemaker's children have holes in their soles" aspect of RH's own online help. A number of SW tools I've used in the past (FM, RH, PM, PhotoStyler) have been acquired by Adobe over the years, and in every case the quality of customer support plummeted after Adobe took ownership. Today I am down to two Adobe products (FM, Acrobat), and I am constantly on the lookout for viable replacements.
