More than 25 percent of Japanese use Internet for shopping

The proportion of Japanese people who have experienced online shopping
stands at 26.1 percent, the government said in an annual report
Tuesday.

The report also showed that 62.0 percent of the online shoppers
gathered information on merchandise via the Internet before purchase.

The Internet has helped close the temporal and spacial gaps between
product suppliers and consumers, while improved search engine
functions and the growing use of blogs [** enda bakal tambah besar

information about consumers' product assessment on the Internet, the
report said.
