getnonfreefonts is a UNIX shell script which allows users of TeXLive-2005 to download and install fonts which can be distributed freely unless any money is taken for the distribution. When I wrote this script I had not been aware that TeXLive already provides Perl for Windows. In TeXLive-2006 there will be a Perl script unless we find a better solution. However, I don't think that you can do a lot of mistakes if you install it manually. getnonfreefonts does nothing else but 1. install the pfb and afm files in appropriate directories under $TEXMFLOCAL, 2. unzip ugm.zip in $TEXMFLOCAL 3. remove $TEXMFLOCAL/dvips/config/ugm.map because updmap complains if it finds files which are not TDS-1.1 compliant. 4. updmap --enable Map=ugm.map . I'm sure that you did the same.
