nice idea! I hope this would be also usable for m-tx ;-) Now, I use nedit as an editor and I'm missing mostly some syntax highlighting. Is there a common way of specifying it, so that you can use it for many different editors? I think this would be the most important thing to do. Scite seems also to be an interesting basis for an IDE, or any other custmizable editor.
