Just in time for your three day weekend, the third quarter version of The TEXAS
CAVER has been posted to the Members Area by our very own near and dear web
extraordinaire, Butch Fralia.
This is a humongous issue (60 pages, gasp! Yes, you read correctly!), chock
full of TONS of great photos from ICS, a superb ICS wrap up article by George
Veni, a hilarious piece by Bill Steele in regard to a recent CaveTex
discussion, thoughts and recollections from ICS from a plethora of Texas
cavers, and some touching tributes from various Texas cavers for three special
gentlemen who are no longer with us and have gone on to their next great
adventures, plus, an award winning photo on the cover!
This issue would not have been possible without the extraordinary contributions
of a legion of fellow cavers, specifically, George Veni for his excellent ICS
article (good job leading that beast, George!) and the excellent response I
received from my pleas for photos. The hero of this issue is PETE LINDSLEY, who
sent me over 120 photos, of which ~60 of his photos alone are used!
A huge hats off to Pete and my eternal gratitude to all of the cavers who
contributed to this special issue!
This issue will also be available for purchase at TCR by non-TSA members or for
extra copies for yourself at $4 each.
But, heck, apply your four dollars towards joining the TSA immediately or at
TCR and receive this issue as a treasured prize and keepsake!

You can still opt to receive a hard copy TC, but will have to wait a couple of
weeks, at the earliest, to receive your latest newsletter via snail mail.
The Members Area continues to expand very well and we currently have grown to
81 members, with 45 opting to receive their TC digitally. This is nearly 50% of
the total membership.
