I believe one of the Bittingers was the first to the back of Dead Dog around 
'72 or so. A small cave with a miserable squirmy worm tube to a stand up 
room.........Bill Russell was probably the first pass the Wire Wiggle and on to 
the back of Airmans where there are some incredible formations, actually 
needles. In climbing there is certain fame with a First Ascent. In caving what 
would you call that? The first explorer? If so not the same zing. Even better 
is to explore and survey at the same time. I bet only a small number of cavers 
have been to the back of each.
