Could you check the same data set is used by those versions? You should get this error if you use a unicode character outside of the BMP (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_(Unicode)#Basic_Multilingual_Plane). Do you such exotic characters? Sending a minimal data sample would be helpful. M.
