It is as far as I'm concerned. Those instructions are for those who choose to
go the Cygwin/Mingw route. What I wrote is pure Visual Studio compatible.
I know of two users beside us and when I get some time (we're trying to get our
product out the door that uses this code) I'm going to update the patch for
whatever the current Thrift release version is and start seeing if I can get it
accepted back into the tree.
