Richard Swift commented on THRIFT-591:
--------------------------------------
HI Rush,
I too am interested in this patch. I'm evaluating Thrift for inclusion in a new
product and much prefer the version with your patches. I'm about to update the
patch to work with the current version but wanted to know if you'd already done
this before I spent the time. I'm also curious about your thoughts on the
possibility of getting this included in the trunk.

> Modify the C++ runtime library to be compatible with Windows and able to be
> built by Visual Studio.
> The work has been done and a patch is available. I will attach it soon.
> Note that this issue and the attached patch supercedes the patches that I
> wrongly attached to JIRA 311. That issue is about making the C++ library
> support async client/server interaction.
