I just thought to check receipt of the mesage on other sites which have the spare account - Outlook and Hotmail (within firefox). In neither of these did the sent messages show. The spare account is live because earlier test messages sent when I was using POP3 (not localhost) are showing. The spare account email address is [email protected] if you wish to send your own message.
