The refresh problem is almost certainly caused by the javascript not having 
a refresh function that is called when a the div is displayed. I ran into 
this a few times when trying to add third-party javascript to TiddlyWiki. 
Unless there is some function given by vextab there isn't much that can be 
done without some significant work on your part.
Some libraries (like the twitter button scripts) do have built-in refresh 
functions that you can enable that take care of the problem, I haven't 
looked at the documentation to see if there is one here or not.
