I do think, the browser AddOn route is still the simplest way we can get. Once the addons are registered and reviewed by FF and Chrome, they are automatically updated, once we provide a new version ... There's also an other option, which is worth exploring. ... But it may also increase complexity, which is a bad thing. ...
