Hope everyone's getting ready for the big event. If all goes well, I'll be recording serial streams from a Z3801A GPS and a Spectracom 8170 WWVB clock. I'll also be recording audio from WWVB on 60kHz, CHU on 3390kHz, and if things work out, WWV on 5 or 10MHz (I have a tested setup for recording two audio channels, but the third requires some improvisation...).
John PS -- I am surprised at the good quality of the WWVB signal. I'm using an "AMRAD" LF active probe antenna with a low-pass filter to block out the local AM broadcasters. The antenna feeds an HP 3586C selective voltmeter using either 20 or 400Hz bandwidth. The audio output of the 3586 goes into a sound card and is processed by the Baudline spectrum analysis software. The signal is in the -80dBm range and it's easy to see the modulation in a waterfall spectrogram. _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list time-nuts@febo.com https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts
