some attention for both the project and the situation?

would be nice -- or forwarding the message there.  I can also
do this for you with or without removing the name and address.

Thanks, maybe that would help someone.  But please note that
these aren't "mine", I've tried to clear up on that in original
message.  I'm just a humble package maintainer.

Hm, maybe.  Guess it was following the INSTALL recommendations
and not willing to put configuration into /usr/share or patches
into /etc, and there's only DEFAULT_PATH/TIMID_DIR to change.
