My main use for TiMidity++ is to render CLASSICAL music, e.g.
Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, etc.

With classical composers before the 20th century -- and that
represents a LOT of music -- there are no copyright issues.

I'm sure that many TiMidity++ users also render classical
music and for this group the lack of a TiMidity++ maintainer
is indeed very sad news.
