@anajuaristi
please do not be mistaken, there is not only about Odoo. There is not even the
certification by itself too. There is problem with the way it is being called,
and marketed - the policy.

> The quality certification of a module is the first requirement before getting
> a maintenance contract.

The certification is being marketed as an absolute prerequisite to receive
maintenance. If so, then Tiny clearly states, that the software (without
certification) is not ready to be used in a production environment. Which is
absolutely wrong.

By a nature OSS is more stable and ready for real life than any software
developed in different way.

Think of a potential SME customer which comes here and sees that he needs to go
through certification process for ex. 20 modules (!!!), in order to receive any
paid support. So why spend money on certification if one can buy proprietary
soft? Which then probably be much cheaper way out.

Tiny are giving another chance to say, OSS is just a kids play and the only
reliable way to receive a solution is by a means of proprietary software.

Sorry, but this is nonsense.

People are trying to educate customers that OSS is the new solution to an old
problems, but here comes central developer and says, that one requires
certification as the software is of bad quality.

I do not know, is it so, or not, but Fabien seems a real BG II, just as it
states on a cover of the magazine.

Obout Odoo, this is closed product (as some other parts of the system it
contains, closed code) of Tiny, and I could morally, by ideas or advice support
it only if Tiny would behave in a GPL respective manner.

Now is the situation that they count only their involvement and market the
product much on a proprietary principles, and the only thing that keeps the
community is the product, but not the product that is being developed by a
community.
