IIRC, we needed to add something to divide hight by two when converting to omapdss timings. (Not 100% sure if this is still the case, and I don't have a monitor w/ interlaced modes to test with..)
Re: CEA timings, there were some improvements made last december to the EDID parsing in DRM. So would be worth trying a newer kernel. Although I'm not completely sure if that would make a difference for userspace. Because X11 has it's own EDID parsing. And some apps, like gnome- display-properties, do their own EDID parsing. I'm not sure if XBMC does, or just relies on the parsed modes from xrandr.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of TI OMAP Developers, which is subscribed to linaro-landing-team-ti. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/919395 Title: Panda: only low resolution on 1080p plasma Status in Linaro Texas Instruments Landing Team: Confirmed Status in Linaro Ubuntu Evaluation Builds: Confirmed Bug description: Installed the linarotv image 20120114-2 and hwpack_linaro-lt-panda-x11-base_20120106-1 on a Pandaboard ES with linaro-media-create. After boot installed ubuntu-omap4-extras-multimedia. Then did a dist-upgrade on Jan 21. 20:45CET HDMI connected to a Yamaha RX-V1800 audio-video-receiver and from there to a 1080p plasma TV. The resulting screen resolution was only 720×576@50 and xbmc does not offer any further resolutions or refresh rates. The EDID sent by the Yamaha AVR includes many resolutions up to 1080p (verified with SwitchResX on a MacBook). Attached boot log with options omapdss.debug=1 drm.debug=7 and EDID To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-landing-team-ti/+bug/919395/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~tiomap-dev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~tiomap-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
