Yes Michael, and you deleted the part of my post that acknowledged that
authoritarian is more effective/acceptable in some cultures.  I still do not
know of any evidence that indicates that this includes spanking or other
physical punishment.  And where is your evidence that "parents and
adults.....have no problem with it"?  and even if they don't that doesn't
speak to the possible developmental effects.
