I've had similar issues on occation with my Tivo HD box. In every case, the channel in question was digital, going through the cable card. I noticed recently that nothing on digital channels were not recording at all, no signal. I checked signal with the diagnostics, good signal, no picture. I rebooted and all is well again. I'm guessing that like a computer, occational reboots clear up issues like this, too bad you can't schedule weekly reboots.
