That happened to me the other day, and for me, it was Comcast cable. THAT channel was cutting out...
Months ago, when my HD was failing, it would jump and chirp and freeze for a second or 2 once in a while. And when I rewind to see that part again it when ok the second time around... Changed the HD to 1 TB, and works perfectly...
