I think this is common, but not just to folks with TM.  I volunteer at an
Independent Living Center and they are a "fragrance free" building.   Many
people with difference disabilities and those without are sensitive to
perfume and other items with fragrance that people put on their bodies.
There are signs posted at the entrance and other places within the building
that it is fragrance free.  The "smells" can be very stressful to some
people and sometimes cause breathing problems,etc.
