With that thought in mind, I sure wish I knew what exactly happened in or to my 
body that made this happen - for all of us.

      The way I understand it autoimmune disorders are caused when your immune 
system responds to a virus but ends up attacking healthy body tissues as well.

        How would your system over react? I'm usually the first to say no to 
        vaccines, but where shingles are concerned, doesn't this become a 
        quality of life issue? I'd probably risk another relapse over the idea 
        of getting shingles.
