Hello Bill, I just tried the three patches and I want to give you some feedback:
First of all, I needed to run clamd as user simscan, as adding clamav to the group simscan did not help. I think it is because setuidgid drops additional groups. Now it works. See my /var/qmail/supervise/clamd/run: #!/bin/sh exec /usr/local/bin/setuidgid simscan /usr/local/sbin/clamd 2>&1 Second, there is a strange side-effect in /var/log/clamd/current. Each line of clamd is being logged twice. Third, I have to mention that simscan 1.2 did not work, but simscan-1.3.1 does work very good. Many regards, claas
