Tomcat Installation/Configuration is very quick and easy and can be done under 10 mins - if u understand the classpaths funda and know where to put your files.
For Advanced Configs if u need to take the tweak it a little bit, a little more effort is required but that is true of any software. Calling it 'crap' isn't the solution.If u had posted u'r problem here maybe u would have got a solution.
