My vote is USB Stick. I don't know if there are speed issues with the SD cards, but a few of my large capacity high speeds didn't work during early Beta. I have not checked since the Touch was released as I am either using USB Drive or USB Stick now. And for me, USB Stick is more versatile when it comes to adding Music. Most of my friends and audiophile buddies I know don't have a way to read or use an SD card, everybody has a USB port unless they are using an iPad or 486!
This is one of the 32GB ' USB Stick Drives ' (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0292241) I am using and I also have their 64GB which they no longer offer. I bought these about 2 years ago so they were cheaper then they are now.
