Glad to hear things are running better now. One thing, note that SomaFM, Last.fm, etc are "apps" not applets. "Apps" are really services, and even though the interface talks about "installing" them, they really aren't installing anything. Applets, on the other hand, are things that you actually install and run on the player. Applets only work with newer players (SB Controller, Radio, and Touch), whereas "apps" also work with older players like the Boom, SB3/Classic, etc. So there are plugins, apps, and applets. Confused? You're not alone. Basically Logitech decided to jump on the iThing bandwagon and get "app-happy" with what are basically internet services for the SB.
Since you have your server running on-demand via WOL, I don't understand why you presume a SB server would have to be on 24/7. SBS can be run on-demand as well. In fact the SrvrPowerCtrl plugin has lots of great options, including switching your players over to mysb.com after a certain idle period, and then suspending/hibernating/shutting down your server. Getting that to play nicely with your video serving could take some work, but running a local music server does _not_ imply it has to be on 24/7. Granted, you'll want to get your SBC WOL problem sorted out first -- did you ever check if audio playback was enabled on the SBC, and if it was, disabling it? Oh, and if you're waiting for SBS plugins to be compatible with TinySBS you'll be waiting a long time. The current lack of plugin support on TinySBS was a conscious decision related to hardware limitations. I doubt you'll ever see many (any?) plugins for TinySBS on the current Touch hardware. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80884 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
