Hmm 192k FLAC > 96k FLAC works perfectly (tried with my 1 album at that rate Muddy waters folksinger ripped from a HDAD disc )
But not 192k FLAC to 96k PCM . Btw the server can normally (16/44.1 24/48 24/96) . Stream FLAC as WAV(PCM) with the right settings. So why have the music files in WAV tag support is bad etc. The files can be FLAC even if you want to use PCM in the player . Unless the server is not so fast. I normally listen to them as flac in the players,never had any i'll effect imho, I'm using the digital out. One way around is to simple archive the original 192kHz WAV file and then from a copy make your own 24/96 files in WAV.
