Thanks iPhone - really appreciate the help. I'll answer all this and do a you suggest tonight and report back. In brief, immediately after boot I get touchscreen capability for a short but random time - then it just stops responding completely. The IR mostly doesn't work at all - I did get a brief moment of IR just after a factory reset. The proximity sensor doesn't work. The ambient light sensor does work. The screen display is perfect - no problem there - likewise audio is fine, so is networking. SSH is fine. I do grab nightlies. What's this about the max number of writes? - is there a way to test the memory blocks - I vaguely remember from Beta...
