John - as you know, RG will simply reduce the volume somewhat - it won't cause sound quality to collapse. Of course, if you are doing A/B comparisons with a CD player, you have to turn RG off...(and align the levels) -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
