also electrically a squeezebox is no different than any other source that sports analog, spdiff and toslink so use whatever hifi or speakers you would if listening to anything else, like a CD player.
PC's and PC speakers sports these 3,5mm "headphone" plugs everywhere because they are small and cheap it saves space on the computer and speakers. The signal is however fully compitable with what you connect to any analog input on a norma stereo who has RCA plugs . If you use the cheaper type of powered speakers " computer speakers " you need a RCA to 3,5mm plug adapter to the Touch , You could use the headphone out but it is of lower quality than the RCA out not that it would matter on the typical " computer speaker ". Note that most brands call their product something else than " computer speaker " when the soundquality and consumer expectations are higher -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
