Hi Triode

This weekend I updated the firmware of my SB Touch, firstly with TT3,
followed by EDO after reading about it in this forum. I use the TOUCH >
S/PDIF coax > TacT 2.2 RCS Digital Preamplifier. In LMS, I carried out
the required changes regarding the file types, ensuring that PCM is set
to FLAC. I confirmed that the Digital Out only option is enabled on the
TOUCH, turned off WAN, made sure the buffer setting was 20000, locked
the volume, disabled the Analogue Out and turned off IR. In the advanced
settings on the TOUCH, when selecting the Digital Output option, no DACs
are listed, as expected, but the TOUCH is not seeing the RCS 2.2 either.
The TacT upsamples its digital output to 192 kHz into my BOZ digital
amplifiers, so I would think that it could handle 192 kHz input. The
maximum frequency that the RCS is getting from the TOUCH is 96 kHz. If I
play 192 hi-res files, they play very slowly and only at 96 kHz. I'm not
using the optical output, only the coax S/PDIF. The sound of my system
after the firmware upgrade has improved. The RCS is not a DAC: there's
no analogue pathway in my system, but S/PDIF is supported obviously. Any
suggestions?
