Its worth mentioning that you can easily transcode wav to flac and vice versa no actuall need to rerip. However if you have no tags at all ( ripping to wav with old windows media player for example ). There are probably mass tagging possibilities in some software . So rerip can be faster if the tags are totally wrecked rather than manually editing. I use puddletag it can search musicbrains just on album title and populate all tags this is also an option, there must be other software that does this to.
Another piont : one big feature with the LMS architecture is to actually *not* having the server in the Hifi room. Its networked dump the whole thing in a closet or basement away from everything plug it in on your home network.
