For your notice:

Over the weekend I tried figuring out where the actual hotspots in genshi
are. It turned out that the actual hotspot is the recursive match template
in the Markup template, everything else is processed in under 30ms.

After having moved Expression and Include Preprocessing from this
recursion, it still gained no additional speed.
