how would this work? when you power from the side port it puts the GPS into 
programming mode for use with computer programming so if you power it from the 
side port you wont be able to use GPS unless you do mod to the GPS and why tear 
apart I good gps. you can get these if you need to

I was just gathering parts for the same thought. I figure a reverse 
Y-cable. Two inputs - one is the Argent cable and the other is bringing 
in 5V and ground. The output would go to the 350.
